Doc Reynolds (Chairperson)

Ron (Doc) Reynolds
Chairperson

Mr Reynolds is a well-respected Noongar/Mirning (Nullabor) Traditional Owner who is a former Executive Member of the Goldfields Land and Sea Council and former President of the Aboriginal Legal Service.  Mr Reynolds is the Managing Director of Kepa Kurl Eco Cultural Discovery Tours in Esperance.  He has a keen interest in natural resource management issues, particularly involving Indigenous communities.

Gordon is a former Chairperson of the Perth Noongar Regional Council (ATSIC) and is a highly respected community leader in Western Australia with interests and credentials in housing, economic development, education/employment, youth, land, governance and community engagement.

Betty Logan (Member)

Betty Logan has a wealth of life-skills and experience in Indigenous affairs.  She is a former nurse and has worked in mainstream health from Bunbury in the South to Derby in the North.  She took on the role of a remote area Health Worker with the Aboriginal Health Services when she settled in Kalgoorlie.  She has worked at the Mulga Queen community and with Bega Garnbirringu Aboriginal Health Services.  Betty was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1980.
Betty has a keen passion and desire to improve the lives of Indigenous people, and represents their interests as a member on boards and committees dealing with housing, land, health, justice, education and social development issues.

Gail Beck (Member)

Gail Beck is the Aboriginal Liaison Officer for the City of Melville and is an enthusiastic, result driven community development officer, who is multi-skilled and experienced in diverse range of areas including management of new initiatives, facilitation of projects, and stakeholder management.
Gail also has an awareness of and a passionate interest in a range of current Aboriginal issues including women’s business, health, education, housing, economic development and land tenure, which can be reflected by the diverse range of government and non government committees that she sits on  either as a participant or at an executive level.

Joe Ross (Member)

Member

Joe Ross is a Bunuba man from Fitzroy Crossing. He is Chair of the North Australian Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance’s Indigenous Water Policy Group, and is on the Prime Minister’s Northern Futures Taskforce. Mr Ross has a strong desire to see contemporary Indigenous communities throughout Western Australia improve their capacity for economic development via private land holdings, and the financial traction these provide in the market place.

Preston Thomas (Member)

"Mr T" Thomas is a former Chairperson of the ALT and is the current Chairperson of the Ngaanyatjarra Land Council and the Yanarngu Parna Aboriginal Corporation Prescribed Body Corporate.  He was nominated for membership to the ALT by the Ngaanyatjarra Council (Aboriginal Corporation) where he holds the position of Vice Chairperson.

Dorothy Tucker (Member)

Dorothy Tucker is a Native Title consultant with extensive experience arranging site surveys and liaising with mining companies, the Goldfields Land and Sea Council, the Department of Mines and Petroleum, the National Native Title Tribunal and native title claimants.  Ms Tucker is a Justice of the Peace and a member of the Children’s Court.  She has a keen interest in the ALT’s land transfer initiatives and facilitating Indigenous Land Use Agreements.
