Development on ALT Estate

The Land Branch assesses development proposals on the ALT estate in accordance with the ALT Land Use and Development Policy. Development includes, but is not limited to:

  • Construction, relocation, or major alteration of any building such as a house, health clinic, workshop, community centre, store, sports facility, police facility, or school.
  • Installation of services such as telecommunications cabling and equipment (eg satellite dish), roads, generators, power stations, airstrip, water chlorinators, sewerage ponds, waste dumps, water and gas pipelines.

There are key requirements to meet in order to obtain approval for development on the ALT estate. Further details about development on the ALT estate are contained in the ALT Land Use and Development Policy.
