Development on Aboriginal Lands Trust estate

The Land Branch assesses development proposals on the Aboriginal Lands Trust estate in accordance with the Aboriginal Lands Trust Land Use and Development Policy. Development includes, but is not limited to:

  • Construction, relocation, or major alteration of any building such as a house, health clinic, workshop, community centre, store, sports facility, police facility, or school; and
  • Installation of services such as telecommunications cabling and equipment (eg satellite dish), roads, generators, power stations, airstrip, water chlorinators, sewerage ponds, waste dumps, water and gas pipelines.
