Sorry Day: Sorry Day celebrations will be held in Wellington Square in East Perth on Friday, 26 May from 11.30am to 1.30pm. Organised by the Bringing Them Home Committee WA, the Journey of Healing will feature performances by Khin Myint, Steve Tallis and the Tranby Primary School choir. Guest speakers are Professor Sally Morgan and Archbishop Roger Herft and the event will culminate with the unveiling of the Sorry Pole. Those attending are also asked to place hands in the official Sea of Hands. In Broome, the Kimberley Stolen Generation will celebrate Sorry Day with the launch of its second CD compilation Stealem Away. New PIWAC Coordinator: The Pilbara Indigenous Women's Corporation (PIWAC) in South Hedland has a new Coordinator. Sarah Robin will be taking over from Katariina Vernham, helping promote the interests of Aboriginal women and families in the Pilbara region. Indigenous netball umpiring course: WA Netball is holding a Level 1 Umpiring Course for Indigenous people keen to get involved in Netball, especially those planning to umpire at the NAIDOC Week Carnival in July. A minimum of eight participants are required for the free course which will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, 22 and 29 June.
